Medical coverage

I am glad that I have now received the medical card from Zul's company. Not that HP doesn't cover its employees and dependents, but for visits to any specialists, the amount is limited. It's very inadequate if you ask me. I might have said otherwise a few years ago, but it's different now. Since I am also covered by PHN now, at least I have alternative if I exhausted all the available balance covered under HP.

I have been having problems with my knees and of course, visits to the orthopaedic is inevitable. One visit could easily cost a few hundred, and perhaps a few thousand if MRI is involved. And then there's the physiotherapy sessions which could reach almost a thousand per month. So it's a lot of $$$.

Too bad Izz isn't covered as well. Step-children are not allowed. I guess I have to foot the bill if I spend more than what's allowed. Already happened last year with the pediatrician bills. I spend more than double than what's claimable. Tp xpe la, sayang anak punye pasal. I prefer the pediatrician compared to GP.

With rising medical costs, any additional medical coverage is always welcomed :)
