Amazon rocks!

Prelude
When Izz turned 1, I made the biggest mistake of putting him in a daycare, or taska as we normally call it. After a complete year of not being exposed to any other child (and their germs), the whole environment absolutely and completely ruined his immune system. We were basically bringing him to the clinic every week and he even got warded twice within the 5 months that he was in the taska. I found out that ignorant parents were the main problem when it comes to this. Dah tau anak awak sakit pegi hantar jugak ke taska, then berjangkit kat budak lain. Bukan ke !@#$%^&*()!!! nama nye tu. Then taska owner pun 2x5. Yg pegi terima jugak budak sakit when you know for a fact bole berjangkit kat budak lain, that's not something smart to do. I guess both sides play their own role. When both sides fail to function properly, then you will be stuck in the situation where your child becomes victim of circumstances. So when I don't see the taska changing the way they operate, I immediately took Izz out of there and found a really good babysitter. Lesser children means lesser potential to get infected. Anyway, Izz's body is still trying to adjust to not being sick all the time. But he still falls sick quite often compared to pre-taska time. Well, the damage's done, no point crying over split milk. If I have another child, a babysitter will my choice.

The prelude was actually to tell that Izz fell sick very very often last year and when that happens, most of the time you can't run away from antibiotics (AB). Babies and AB don't go well together. The AB will intefere with the digestive system and more often than not, babies will get diarrhea. Izz had this problem so often back then that I was on the verge of going crazy to find something that could prevent his bottom from bleeding every time he had to consume AB. You can read about all the diaper creams that I bought here. Finally I found Dr. Smith and Izz's bottom respond very very well to it. So since then I have been using Dr. Smith... even on a daily basis just as preventive measure.

The only issue with Dr. Smith is that is not available locally. US mari punye. First time I bought it, through a sister's friend who studied in the US. Then when the friend is no longer studying there, I had to use personal shopper (mahal gile ok!). Amazon wasn't shipping Dr. Smith outside of US back then. Now that my stock is almost out, I browsed Amazon and surprise surprise... they do ship Dr. Smith internationally now. Yay! I immediately ordered 2 boxes of the large 8oz tub... on 24th April. It's only 29th April now, and I've already received the package. I'm so happy with Amazon. Shipping costs is acceptable. I had to pay 50% more for shipping (on top of product price) compared to if I were in the US where shipping is FREE. So for 2 items, it's as though I'm paying for 3. Tutup mata je la. If I were to order more, the shipping costs would be distributed further across the number of items. Tapi yg 2 kotak ni pun sure tahan almost a year. Just to highlight that this would be beneficial for group buys.

Pakai DHL, so x hairan la cepat.

Stock replenished. I'm one happy mama :)

So, this opens up a whole new online shopping world for me. Previously, Amazon was not in my visit-to sites. Now it is :)
